Daily Practice Circle
Many people find it difficult to sustain a daily meditation practice on their own. The Daily Practice Circle is my attempt to offer structure and accountability that can support you in establishing a consistent daily practice.
Participants commit to a month of daily meditation. During that time, you practice a minimum of 10 minutes of meditation per day, you get paired with an accountability partner or small group, and you join, as you are able, a weekly 30-minute video call for group meditation and Q&A. It’s deliberately small and simple. The goal is to provide just enough structure to help you build a practice within the context of your life.
After 30 days, you are welcome to re-commit. If there’s sufficient interest, I am also considering building out a similar framework for people who wish to deepen their practice by connecting more fully to the Buddhist Eightfold Path. Stay tuned for more details about that!
How does it work?
You make a public commitment through an online sign-up form.
I send a welcome email with brief instructions, and I connect you with an accountability partner or small group.
You check in with your partner/group by text, phone, or online. Share how your practice is going, note any challenges or successes, or simply encourage one another.
We gather once a week for a 30-minute group call to meditate together and reflect on the practice.
My plan is to pair new participants roughly once per week, and your 30-day commitment will begin when you are paired. The weekly call is the anchor point of the circle and is open to everyone currently participating. If you are unable to join the call, you are still welcome to participate, but I ask that you communicate with me about this and send me a brief note once a week to let me know how your practice is going.
